Some Holiday Pictures

I kind of blew it this year for pictures. I just got too busy during the holidays and forgot to get my camera out. I don't have one picture of Christmas - I feel terrible because we had such a great day. It started with Logan bursting into my room yelling "it's Christmas, it's Christmas time to get up". Come to find out he was up for hours, he didn't want to come upstairs before 7:00 AM because he knew I'd make him go back to bed. I'm thankful for grateful children. They make this day so nice. They give thoughtful gifts to me and to each other. I'm fortunate to have such a great family! Some of my friends and family got together and made advent calendars - they turned out so cute! Darrel and Kevin made the magnet board for Emily and I. The nativity is a gift from Darrel. I have wanted this forever, thank you so much. I hope everyone has had a great holiday. This has been a special year for us,new experiences and relationships. We're embracing lots of changes and we're very HaPpY - we hope you are ToO!

Lacrosse

We had a blast watching Logan play Lacrosse this fall. He is played defense and for being one of the smaller boys on his team - he had a lot of fight in him! He was definitely one to be reckoned with!

Photo Shoot...

If things aren't crazy enough, with Darrel recuperating from knee(s) surgery and the kids going in every direction, I decided we needed some family pictures. We got ready in about 3.2 seconds and headed out the door to the mountains. In my haste, I didn't realize there aren’t any leaves in the mountains anymore so we ended up going to Red Butte Gardens, which is so lovely this time of year. The only problem was we only had 30 minutes until they closed and it was FREEZING... seriously - we were so cold. Here are our pictures - I love them because we had such a fun together, we laughed the whole time. Poor Darrel was so cold - he was a good sport though. I'm sorry there are a lot of them.

Sick day...

My intention was to post pictures of Logan at his lacrosse game today not pictures of him sick in bed. At about 1:00 this morning he came into my room saying he felt sick - after that we were up all night with him throwing up. Poor little guy. He doesn't complain or cry, in fact, the only thing he said was 'I'm sorry I woke you up Mom'. His best little buddy (Izzy, the kitty) came in to cozy with him. Hope you feel better soon little Snacks.

St. George

Over UEA weekend we did a quick trip to St. George which included a day trip to Las Vegas.
Maria was intent on finding the H & M store - Dietrich, Hannah, Logan and I had fun at FAO Schwartz trying on hats. Lindsey almost got us kicked out of the H & M store for taking pictures - it wouldn't be the first time we've been kicked out of a store. When we got back to St. George Missy, Shane and their family met us there. Missy and I took the kids to the toy store (not a good idea when you have 8 kids) she bought two creepy masks (I'll tell you about that in a minute). Darrel arrived Friday night just in time to go go-karting. Maria is quite the go-kart driver, the attendant was so smitten with her, we all got extra rides because he was only paying attention to her. Darrel and Shane had a marathon golf weekend, but I guess you can never golf too much...

So, the girls put these masks on when we went to Tuacahn. Like this...

We got quite a kick out of watching people try not to stare at them. Aida was great, but the show these two put on was way more entertaining.
